KUALITAS HIDUP REMAJA PUTUS SEKOLAH

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Pendahuluan: Remaja merupakan masa yang menentukan kualitas hidup manusia karena pada masa ini terjadi perubahan fisik, psikologis, dan sosial yang signifikan. Remaja membutuhkan kesempatan untuk menyalurkan pergolakan jiwa akibat perubahan yang sedang terjadi. Hal ini memunculkan peranan sekolah sebagai mekanisme perlindungan dan koping efektif dalam menjaga kesehatan psikologis remaja. Kejadian putus sekolah pada akhirnya mempengaruhi munculnya berbagai masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas hidup remaja putus sekolah di Indonesia. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode cross sectional yang dilaksanakan di kota Bogor pada tahun 2015 dengan melibatkan 92 remaja putus sekolah yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner kualitas hidup WHOQOL-BREF yang memiliki nilai reliabilitas antara 0,64 – 0,79. Data diolah menggunakan analisis univariat untuk memperoleh gambaran kualitas hidup remaja putus sekolah. Hasil: Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar remaja berada dalam kategori kualitas hidup rendah. Hal ini tampak pada domain kesehatan fisik (98,9%), kesehatan psikologis (75,0%), dan lingkungan (80,4%). Diskusi: Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa salah satu atau lebih dari indikator kualitas hidup tidak dimiliki oleh remaja. Penelitian lebih lanjut tentang gambaran masing-masing komponen dalam domain kualitas hidup dibutuhkan guna mengetahui secara rinci bagian mana yang berpengaruh pada kualitas hidup.

ABSTRACT

Introduction: Adolescence is a time that determines the quality of human life because at this time there are significant physical, psychological and social changes. Teenagers need the opportunity to channel the throes of the soul due to the changes that are going on. This raises the role of schools as a mechanism of protection and effective coping in maintaining the psychological health of adolescents. The dropout event ultimately affects the emergence of various problems. This study aims to determine the quality of life of teenagers dropping out of school in Indonesia. Methods: This research uses cross sectional method implemented in Bogor city in 2015 involving 92 drop out teenagers fulfilling inclusion criteria. The data were collected using a WHOQOL-BREF quality life questionnaire that has a reliability value of between 0.64 to 0.79. The data were processed using univariate analysis to obtain the quality of life of out-of-school drop-outs. Results: Research shows that most teenagers are in the category of low quality of life. This appears in the domain of physical health (98.9%), psychological health (75.0%), and environment (80.4%). Discussion: These results prove that one or more of the indicators of quality of life are not owned by adolescents. Further research on the description of each component in the domain of quality of life is needed to know in detail which parts affect the quality of life.
